A Visionary Collaboration
“We’ve found our kindred spirit in an uncompromising commitment to excellence in sound reproduction”
– Thomas Kurrer, Chief Executive Officer of Steinway & Sons
Steinway Lyngdorf is the visionary collaboration between Steinway & Sons, makers of the world’s finest pianos for over 150 years, and Peter Lyngdorf, acclaimed innovator in the field of digital audio for the home entertainment systems. Steinway Lyngdorf brings together the artisanship, fine furniture craftsmanship, striking design, groundbreaking engineering and sheer innovative genius that have made these two great names uncontested leaders in their respective arenas.
Two great names. Making beautiful music. Together.
Rather than adapt the room to the music system, like other conventional products do, Steinway Lyngdorf adapts the music or home theater system to the room. Years of research have resulted in RoomPerfectTM, a proprietary technology that produces the first fully 3-dimensional map of a room’s sound field. RoomPerfectTM adjusts your music system to overcome spatial influences and deliver a uniform tonal balance throughout the entire listening space. The RoomPerfectTM patent is one of the most comprehensive ever filed in the history of acoustics.

Entering the digital domain
Steinway Lyngdorf sound systems remain entirely in the digital domain, from the onset of the audio signal input, and onward to the speaker drivers. This affords a number of advantages over conventional technologies, including minimal power consumption, extremely low distortion, and an inherent noise level at the theoretical lower limit.
